Block paving and concrete restoration in Rincón de la Victoria

In shortIn Rincón de la Victoria, a coastal municipality of the Axarquía, we restore block paving, stamped concrete and plain concrete that is still firm but has lost its looks. Pavers are washed, joints and chips attended to, edges masked and a tinted resin applied in two coats, with an optional protective coat. We cover La Cala del Moral, Benagalbón, Torre de Benagalbón, Añoreta and Parque Victoria.

Can faded block paving be restored without relaying it?

Yes, as long as the blocks are still bedded firmly. Restoration does not touch the base: it cleans the surface, deals with joints and small chips, and gives the blocks an even new colour with a tinted resin. The laying pattern stays visible, because the joints between blocks remain. Our paver painting and restoration page explains how the joints are treated.

Block paving that has gone pale, patchy or stained is a typical candidate. Block paving that rocks, has wide gaps or has dropped in tyre tracks is not; it needs relaying on a corrected base first. For that, our sister site has a dedicated page on sunken paving repair in Rincón de la Victoria, and the restoration can follow once the surface is stable.

How do you judge from photos whether the pavers are stable?

We look for the signs of movement that a coating would hide. You can do a quick check yourself before sending pictures, and the results tell us whether to quote a restoration or suggest a base repair.

  • Walk across slowly: any block that rocks or clicks underfoot
  • Look along the surface at a low angle: dips, humps or tyre ruts
  • Check after rain or a hose test: water that stays in one spot
  • Look at the joints: sand washed out or gaps wider than elsewhere
  • Look at the edges: kerbs or edging that have shifted outward

If none of these appear, restoration is usually the sensible route. Our guide on when restoring makes sense lays out the same reasoning with a decision tree.

Which parts of Rincón de la Victoria do we cover?

The whole municipality. Sourced sub-areas include La Cala del Moral, Benagalbón, Torre de Benagalbón, Añoreta and Parque Victoria. We list them so you can check coverage; we make no claims about the houses or surfaces in any of them, and we do not assume a property type from its address.

Rincón de la Victoria is in the Axarquía comarca, covered on the sister site's Axarquía hub. Our areas page lists the other municipalities we serve.

If you also own or manage a property in another town on our list, the same trip can sometimes cover a second address as well as the one in Rincón de la Victoria. Mention it when you write; grouping two jobs makes the planning simpler for both of us and keeps the colour choice consistent if you want the same finish.

What else can be restored alongside the paving?

Concrete paths, stamped concrete drives and patios on the same property can be done in the same visit. Where the drive is stamped concrete, stamped concrete restoration applies; where the problem is cracking, crack and small defect repair. Doing several areas together keeps the colour consistent. Rincón de la Victoria town hall sets the procedure for outdoor paving in its current ordinance, so check it before work begins. Send us a photo and the approximate m² – free, no-obligation quote.

Frequently asked questions

Do you restore block paving in Añoreta?

Yes. Añoreta is one of the sourced sub-areas of Rincón de la Victoria that we cover, along with Benagalbón, Torre de Benagalbón, La Cala del Moral and Parque Victoria. Stable block paving there can be cleaned and given a new tinted finish.

Will the joints between my pavers disappear under the coating?

No. The joints stay visible, so the pattern of the blocks still reads after restoration. The aim is an even, renewed colour on the blocks themselves, not a continuous painted layer that hides the paving.

Some blocks in my drive have sunk. Can you still help?

The sunken blocks need lifting and relaying on a corrected base first, which our sister site for sunken paving handles in Rincón de la Victoria. Once the drive is level again, we can restore the whole surface so old and relaid blocks match.

Is restoring block paving the same as sealing it?

Not quite. Sealing on its own is a clear protective layer after cleaning. Restoration adds a tinted resin in two coats to renew the colour, with an optional protective coat on top. If the colour is still fine, cleaning and sealing alone may be enough.

Can you restore concrete paths and block paving together?

Yes. Different materials on the same property can be restored in the same visit, each with the preparation it needs. Choosing one tint for all of them gives a consistent look, or you can keep paths and drive in different shades.

What happens to the sand in the joints during washing?

Pressure washing can remove some loose joint material, which is why joints are inspected and attended to after cleaning and before coating. This is part of the preparation stage and is described in the quote.

Do you assume my house type from the area?

No. We never assume that a property in a given sub-area is a villa, a townhouse or a flat. Your photos tell us what is there, how big it is and how equipment reaches it, and the quote is based on that.

Who checks whether the town hall needs a declaration?

The owner. Under Andalusian law minor works without a project can go by responsible declaration, but in Rincón de la Victoria the current ordinance sets the procedure for outdoor paving, and the town hall can confirm which applies. We carry out the restoration and do not file permits.

Can you restore a community's shared paving?

Yes, once the owners' meeting has approved it under the Horizontal Property Law; the administrator can confirm which majority is required. We can supply a written description of the work for the meeting and plan the job so residents keep access.

What photos should I send for block paving?

A wide shot of the whole area, a low-angle shot along the surface to show level, close-ups of joints and stains, and a short video of walking across it. Add the approximate m² or two rough measurements in metres.
