Restoration in Cártama, explained line by line

In shortIn Cártama, an inland municipality of the Valle del Guadalhorce, we restore existing concrete, stamped concrete and pavers without replacing them. Our written quote lists each stage separately: pressure washing, filling cracks and holes, masking edges, tinted acrylic resin in two coats, an optional protective coat and the final clean with tape removal. We cover Estación de Cártama, Estación de Aljaima, Gibralgalía and the town.

What does each line of a Cártama restoration quote mean?

Each line is one stage of the work, so you can see exactly what you are paying for and what is optional. We use the same structure for every quote, whatever the size of the surface, and describe it below without figures; the reference prices sit on our sister price site.

  1. Pressure washing: removes dirt, loose material and growth so the repair and coating bond to sound concrete.
  2. Surface repair: cracks and holes are cleaned and filled with acrylic filler or mortar.
  3. Edge protection: walls, kerbs, gates and posts are masked with tape.
  4. Tinted acrylic resin in two coats: the new colour, rolled on open areas and brushed at edges.
  5. Protective coat: an optional clear final layer.
  6. Final clean and tape removal: the site is left tidy.

To compare our quote with others, the sister page on what a quote includes and excludes lists the questions worth asking.

Which lines can be left out?

The protective coat, and sometimes the coating altogether. If you only want the surface cleaned, the quote reduces to washing, with an optional seal, under cleaning and sealing. The washing, repair and masking lines cannot be skipped before a coating, because the resin needs a clean, sound surface and clean edges. Our guide to surface preparation explains why.

If the drive is stamped concrete, the stamped concrete restoration page shows how the stages apply to a patterned surface. If part of the surface has sunk, a restoration quote is not the right document at all; base repair comes first through our sister site for sunken paving.

Which parts of Cártama do we cover?

The whole municipality. Sourced sub-areas include Estación de Cártama, Estación de Aljaima and Gibralgalía, alongside Cártama town. We list them to confirm coverage only.

Whether your property in Cártama is a townhouse with a short forecourt or a detached house with a long drive, the quote follows the same six lines; only the quantities change. That makes it straightforward to add a second area later, such as a patio or a path, because it is simply priced with the same stages and the same shade reference.

Cártama is in the Valle del Guadalhorce comarca, covered on the sister site's Valle del Guadalhorce hub, and our areas page lists every other municipality in the province.

What happens between the quote and the start?

You approve the scope in writing, we confirm the measurements on site, and we agree the date and access. Cártama town hall's current ordinance sets the procedure for outdoor paving; that check is yours, and it is easiest to make before the start date is fixed, as we execute work but do not file permits. If the work touches the public pavement or a kerb drop, a separate authorisation from the town hall is needed. Send us a photo and the approximate m² – free, no-obligation quote.

Frequently asked questions

Why do you list every stage separately in the quote?

So you can see what each part of the work involves and which parts are optional. It also makes it easier to compare our quote with another contractor's, line by line, rather than comparing a single total that may cover different things.

Can I skip the crack repair and just coat?

We would not recommend it. Unfilled cracks show through the coating, and a coat of resin alone does not close them. The repair line is what makes the coated surface look even. If there are genuinely no cracks or holes, that line is simply small.

Is the protective coat necessary?

No, it is optional and appears as its own line. The tinted resin in two coats gives the new colour; the protective coat is a clear final layer that you may want on surfaces with more use. We do not attach lifespan claims to it.

Do you cover Estación de Cártama and Gibralgalía?

Yes. Estación de Cártama, Estación de Aljaima, Gibralgalía, Cártama town and the rest of the municipality are within our area. Include the address or a map pin with your photos.

Will the measurement in the quote change after the visit?

The first quote is based on your approximate m². We confirm the measurement on site before starting. If the real area differs, we tell you before any work begins, so the final figure reflects the actual surface.

Where can I see actual prices?

On our sister price site, which keeps the reference prices for the whole network and includes a worked example and a calculator. This page explains the stages; the prices themselves are kept in one place so they stay consistent.

What is not included in a restoration quote?

Base repairs on sunken areas, replacement of broken paving, waterproofing, permits and work on the public pavement are outside a restoration quote. If any of these is needed, we say so and point you to the right sister site.

Can you restore pavers as well as concrete?

Yes, if the pavers are firmly bedded. The stages are the same, with extra attention to joints during preparation. Pavers that move need relaying first, which is quoted separately through our sister site for sunken paving.

What does the final clean include?

Removing all masking tape, collecting containers and materials, and leaving the area tidy. Washing water is directed to drains during the job. The final photos show the surface after tape removal.

Do you need a deposit or a signed document?

We need your written approval of the scope before the date is fixed. The payment terms are set out in the written quote. As a self-employed contractor, we keep the paperwork simple and in English or Spanish as you prefer.
